The A/C on my 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 stopped blowing cold, so I got it tested with Service Street at the location off of Northshore Dr. I already had an appointment with my usual mechanic, but it was 2 weeks out, so I called Service Street and was able to be seen an hour later. After waiting a short while, I was told that they ran a dye test and discovered that my truck had a leak from 2 of the A/C lines and that it was completely out of refrigerant. For parts and labor, the estimate was over $1,100. I knew this was very overpriced, so I decided to wait the 2 weeks for my other appointment. My usual mechanic ran a dye test and said that there were NO LEAKS. Total bill was $187. If the other issues actually had been the case, my mechanic gave me an total estimate of around $550.
