Save yourself the headache of them trying to, or succeeding in, ripping you off. I'm not saying all the work they do is bad but they will definitely inflate prices and tell you there are "problems" that aren't actually there if they think they can fool you.

If there were negative stars to give here I would. 1 star is being extremely generous. I brought my car in to have the AC looked at as it was blowing warm air. First off, just to tell me what was wrong they charge $159. Then they come back and say we need to do a system recharge and refill with freon (which I have no clue what it is). That cost is an additional $367, which brings my bill to $567 total. Not great but, if it fixes the issue then fine and lets move on. So after agreeing to this they come back out and say NOW, NOW after I have racked up $567 in fees already that they have found the REAL problem, and that problem is going to cost me $1400 for parts and labor in addition to money already paid. I ask what improvements we will see with the work already done with the system recharge and filling it up with Freon. The GM Sean said it will be a band aid, and we would be back in the same situation within a matter of days depending on how bad the leak is. As soon as I leave the lot, my car is still blowing hot air. When I bring it back, I am told that nothing can be done other than to pay them the additional $1400 to fix the issue, which would have brought our total bill to $2000. At best, this is one of the most absurd business models I have ever seen, to charge hundreds and hundreds of dollars and not even be able to tell someone what the real problem is, and say you have band aided the issue, and that not even be true. I understand paying like a fee to look at it, but $587 to be told now we know the real problem and its a $1400 fix is absurd. For comparison, to see if this was in line or if I was being "taken for a ride" I took the car to Auto Works of Knoxville to have them diagnose and quote what they could fix for if the diagnosis given to me by Service Street was accurate. Their quote to look at, diagnose, order parts, and labor came to $646.49, almost $1400 cheaper than what the entirety of the issue would have costed me to address with Service Street. Needless to say, Auto Works of Knoxville will be getting all of my business from here on out. Service Street, in my opinion, preys on people like me, and my wife, who know absolutely nothing about cars and what the parts and fixes cost, and up sales. The mere fact that another auto repair place in Knoxville can be given the same scope of work and turn out a bill roughly $1400 cheaper lends some validity to that statement.

Thank you for leaving a review. We're sorry to hear that you had a frustrating experience. After reviewing the ticket the services provided was in combination with a evac and recharge and diagnostic as well to isolate the A/C concerns. The shop performs a series of tests and starts with any leaks and if no identifiable leaks the shop will add dye into the system which is the evac and recharge. Evac and recharge test and record A/C system high and low pressure readings. Insert dye into A/C system and inspect for leaks. Not all leaks can be detected right away. Vehicle may have a small leaks(s) or weak component(s). After the evac and recharge pressures present are indicating of a failed front expansion valve and evaporator. We have set pricing system set up that charges all of our customers the same. We also offer the extended warranty programs that other facilities do not offer. We appreciate you bringing your concern to our attention. Please reach out to the general manager about any concerns that you may have to work to resolve them for you.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They prey on young families who do not have knowledge on cars. We were charged $600 to diagnose and add freon to my car. We were told that would bandaid the hot air blowing out of my vents and to permanently fix it we would need to pay them an additional $1400 to repair the part. Kid you not, they pulled my car around and it was still Blowing hot air and the manager said you signed our paper work there’s nothing we can do see ya. We are a young family with 3 kids and adopting a 4th and do not have extra money to be taken advantage of. They do not care about their customers. They are the true definition of CROOKS. Added- we took our car to another company and they said everything to diagnose and completely repair the part would cost us $600. Service street needs to make this right and we will not stop telling everyone we know on every social media channel there is what they did. Again, they prey on families who are not knowledgeable on cars. RUN AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE LYING BUSINESS
