Horrible service. Lied about billing.

I was very happy with the way I was treated at this place. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because I feel like they did attempt to charge me a lot more than was necessary initially. Was quoted $400+ for a repair that should have been $200+. I was taught many years ago at the beginning of my professional career that PROFIT is not a dirty word, therefore I understand we all need to make a little money. However to their credit when I raised the question about the price they were very willing to work with me. I ultimately bought the part myself and was out a total (parts/labor) of $250 for the repair which was more in the range to expect for the nature of my issue. Like I said, profit is not a dirty word, but quoting me over $400 didn’t set well with me. They were very kind, very personable and professional, and ultimately performed the repair on my vehicle for an appropriate price without any hassle. I would use this shop again.

Great quality work, made me feel at home

I took my wife’s Jeep Liberty in for a rear differential pinion seal leak. I dropped the car off and got a call from them that the front differential pinion seal also had a small leak. They quoted me around $700 to replace both pinion seals and flush both differentials I declined the flush, but agreed to both pinion seal replacements and refill with gear oil. They quoted me about $338 for the repair. I picked the car up and drove it home. A few days later my wife said there was a noise in the front end and I found the the driver side caliper bolts were not in the caliper and the caliper was dragging on the wheel. I’m not saying that the caliper bolt issue was due to First choice, I can’t prove it.I replaced the bolts and noticed the front differential pinion seal had not been replaced. The total repair bill was $438 for one pinion seal replacement and gear oil refill. I feel the original quote for $338 for both seals was fair, but not $438 for one seal replacement and refill.

Prior to using First Choice Automotive, I had used another establishment which claimed to have fixed the problem but it turned out to be unsuccessful. The knowledgeable and professional staff at First Choice Automotive (Northshore) gained my trust and ensured some of my business for automotive needs.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Prices are great too. This is where I will take my vehicles for oil changes and maintenance from now on.
